Digimon Adventure 02: Rewrite--Prologue

Their Return

It was a raging war between the Digidestined and the Digimon Emperor, yet the team still found the time to live a bit of a normal life. Davis Motomiya, not seeing what was so great about this TK guy, was more excited about meeting Aria Gotokuji, who could grow wings and fight with powers of her own. Kari Kamiya was bouncing up and down, thrilled to re-meet her childhood best friend. Yolei Inoue was aflutter to meet the best friend of one of her mentors—Mimi Tachikawa—and the boy her best friend was totally crushing on. Cody Hida was feverish to meet some of two most honorable people he would ever meet. The Original Digidestined were excited at the prospect of seeing two of their most prized members—Matt especially, considering TK was his little brother and Aria was his childhood crush.
The two people—two wise people who have seen too much for their age, two people who were forced to grow up faster than any of the Digidestined, two people who tried to hold onto what little left they have of their childhood, those people—were not expected.
The boy—it couldn’t possibly be TK—had ruffled blond hair, stormy, gunmetal gray eyes with flecks of an impossible blue, and tan skin. It was obvious he worked out by his strong build. He was about 6ft4”. He was wearing a jean jacket, a white T-shirt with a black collar, jeans, and black converse. The girl said an insult which made him frown, though the girl laughed at his expense.
The girl—she couldn't be, she wasn’t Aria—she had the same fuchsia eyes she had when she was younger. Her fuchsia eyes made her seem like the same person, but that’s just it. Her silver eyes shows wisdom. Her silver eyes showed more emotion than the Digidestined have ever felt in their entire life. Her raven-blue-black hair went down to her waist and was braided and pushed over to the side. Her pale skin was a little darker than it used to be, but it was still pale. She was wearing a red sundress and purple wedges.
The girl and the boy gave them small smiles before returning to their conversation. The boy looked indignant while the girl laughed. Nancy Takaishi smiled and said something which caused the girl to laugh and the boy to mutter something. This only made the girl laugh harder and Nancy to join in. The boy rolled his eyes, but smiled, showing he cared about them. Nancy turned her head waved the Digidestined over.
The Digidestined proceeded to do so, but as the three returned to their conversation, the Originals came to a conclusion: They’ve changed.
